Somnoware Diagnostics

SleepImage integration

SleepImage is a portable HST device used to diagnose sleep apnea and other sleep-related breathing disorders in children and adults.

Somnoware works with these SleepImage rings:

  • PO2

  • PO4

  • PO6

Important

The SleepImage API does not support the following:

  • Activation code email notifications to patients. Lab technicians must give patients their activation codes manually.

  • Access to more than one raw data file. SleepImage typically only runs single-night studies.

Map facility to SleepImage organization account

Before assigning SleepImage devices to patients, contact your Somnoware Support Technician to link a facility in Somnoware to your SleepImage organization account.

Check out SleepImage device

  1. Set up the SleepImage device.

  2. In the Scheduler calendar, click the patient's appointment.

  3. Click Checkout Device.

  4. In the Nights section, you can set the number of nights the patient has to perform the sleep study.

  5. Click Checkout.

SleepImage automatically generates a patient profile in the SleepImage organization.

Find the SleepImage Patient ID

The SleepImage Patient ID is required by the patient to use the SleepImage app.

  1. Go to Scheduler > HST.

  2. Filter by Pending Check-in Only.

  3. Click the patient.

  4. From the Studies tab, view the Appointment section.

  5. In the SleepImage Patient ID field, note the ID.

Review SleepImage multi-night sleep study data

After the patient completes each night, the study is uploaded to the SleepImage cloud. This triggers a notification in Somnoware for physicians to review the study.

  1. Hover over the manager module ( SW_Icon_Studies.PNG ) and click Physician Manager.

  2. In the Physician Manager sub-menu, click Interpreting > Pend. Interpretation.

  3. Hover over the patient and click the Interpretation icon.

  4. Click View tracings to view the raw data.

The sleep study displays in the SleepImage cloud in a new tab.

    Note

The primary study opens as the SleepImage API only supports the ability to view one study at a time.

  5. Edit or mark events in the raw data.

  6. Click Recalculate to ensure the changes and updated scored report are reflected in the patient's profile.

Generate a SleepImage interpretation report

If a physician tires to generate an interpretation report after only one study of a multi-night sleep study is complete, a message displays indicating all data for the study has not been collected. The physician can click OK to generate the report and finalize the study or click Cancel to wait for the remaining data to upload.
