Customize appointment reminders

To customize text message appointment reminders at the facility level, you must meet these requirements first:

  • Resmed customer support must enable appointment reminders and customized templates.

  • The Use organization preferences setting must be disabled for the facility.

  1. In the Configuration module, hover over the facility and click Edit.

  2. From the Preferences tab, expand Patient communication.

  3. Next to Scheduled appointments preferences, click Edit.

  4. In the Reminder templates section, click inside the Appointment reminder template text box to customize the message.

  5. To add a variable, such as patient first name, to your message:

    1. Next to the Reminder templates heading, click Data types.

    2. Select the variable you want to add.

    3. Click OK.

  6. Next to the Scheduled appointment preferences heading, click Save.

    Important

    Patients will only receive appointment reminders if they consent to receive SMS notifications.
