NightOwl HST device integration
Configure default values for NightOwl HST devices and assign them to patients.
Note
Patients must have email addresses in Somnoware to receive a NightOwl HST device.
Set default values
Set the default values for the NightOwl HST device for a facility.
Click the Configuration icon (
).
Next to the facility, click the Edit icon.
Click the HST administrations tab.
In the Supported Devices table, next to the NightOwl HST device, click Set Default Value.
Configure the following:
Default nights: Enter the number of nights for the patient to complete the HST.
Maximum extensions: Enter the minimum number of nights with successful recordings to complete the HST.
Minimum successful nights: Enter the maximum number of nights to extend the HST if recordings fails. The HST is extended by one night each time a recording fails until the Maximum extensions number is reached.
Check out NightOwl HST device
In the Scheduler calendar, click the patient's appointment.
Click Checkout Device.
In the Nights section, you can change the settings.
This section is autopopulated based on the default lab settings for the device.
Click Checkout.
The patient information is pushed to the NightOwl provider portal and the provider portal sends an activation email to the patient.
Resend activation code
You can resend the activation email to the patient that contains the activation code.
Go to Scheduler > HST.
Filter by Pending Check-in Only.
Click the patient.
From the Studies tab, click the More icon (
).
Click Resend Activation Code.
Update patient information in NightOwl provider portal
If a Somnoware user has made changes to the patient details after the NightOwl HST device is checked out, you can push the updated information to the NightOwl provider portal.
Go to Scheduler > HST.
Filter by Pending Check-in Only.
Click the patient.
From the Studies tab, click the More icon (
).
Click Update patient (Ectosense).
Download sleep study
After each patient sleep study is uploaded to the NightOwl provider portal, physicians can review the results through Physician Manager. If the NightOwl HST results are not available by the expected check in date, physicians can download the study to process it.
Go to Scheduler > HST.
Filter by Pending Check-in Only.
Click the patient.
From the Studies tab, click Request Study Download.
