Appendix 1: HL7 inbound message components
The following diagram shows Somnoware processes inbound HL7 messages from a provider's EHR system. It highlights the key data segments received through ADT, SIU and ORM message types, and how these segments populate patient, appointment and order records within the application. It also shows required clinic configurations and the downstream processes triggered by each message type.
