Configure CSA (AASM standards)
Configure the criteria Somnoware uses to evaluate central sleep apnea (CSA) in adult patients. The CSA (AASM Standards) configuration allows physicians to set an index threshold and a proportionality threshold. Somnoware evaluates study data against these physician-configured criteria. These settings do not apply to infant or pediatric patients.
For existing physicians, CSA (AASM Standards) is not enabled by default. It is enabled by default for new physicians and when physician preferences are reset.
How Somnoware evaluates the CSA (AASM standards) criteria
For adult patients, Somnoware identifies the CSA (AASM Standards) criteria as met only when both physician-configured conditions are true:
Central apneas or central hypopneas meet or exceed the configured events-per-hour threshold.
The total number of central apneas and central hypopneas exceeds the configured percentage of the total number of apneas and hypopneas.
